What to expect + how to prep for your first Lagree Onda class 🌊

What Lagree Is

Lagree is a full-body workout that combines strength, endurance, cardio, balance, and core in one low-impact session.

Classes move slowly and with control on the Lagree machine. The slow tempo is intentional — it keeps muscles under tension longer, which is what creates the shake and the burn.

Expect:

  • Small, controlled movements
  • Muscles shaking (that's the goal)
  • Deep core engagement
  • A full-body workout in about 45 minutes

It's challenging, but completely beginner friendly. Instructors offer modifications so you can work at your own level.

Arrive Early

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your first class.

This allows your instructor to:

  • Introduce you to the machine
  • Explain springs and safety basics
  • Walk you through the setup before class begins

If you arrive right at start time, we may not be able to give you the proper intro.

What to Wear

Wear comfortable workout clothes you can move in.

You'll also need grip socks for safety and stability on the machine. If you don't have a pair, Lagree Onda grippy socks are available for purchase in the studio.

What to Bring

You don't need much. Just bring:

  • Water
  • Grip socks
  • Yourself ready to move

We have cubbies for your belongings.

During Class

Classes are intentionally small so instructors can guide you throughout the workout.

You'll hear cues like:

  • "Slow it down"
  • "Small range"
  • "Hold here"

This is normal Lagree coaching. Slower almost always means harder.

And if your legs start shaking… you're doing it right.

Modifications Are Always Welcome

Lagree meets you where you are.

You can always:

  • Take breaks
  • Modify range of motion
  • Adjust springs

The goal is control and form, not speed.

After Class

Expect to feel muscles you didn't know you had.

You may notice soreness 24–48 hours later, especially after your first few classes. That's normal and part of the process as your body adapts.

Most people quickly get hooked on the feeling.
